The type of music that I want to talk about is something that is very close to my heart and has been growing on me recently, it is called "Reggaeton." Reggaeton has grown on me recently, coming from a Spanish Background I always enjoyed Spanish music with my grandmother because she enjoyed listening to it and I enjoyed spending time with her and getting to learn about Argentine and Spanish culture. When I discovered Reggaeton music and artist like Bad Bunny, J Balvin, and Maluma it changed my whole view on Spanish music. It quickly became my favorite music because it had catchy Spanish vibes and had the same complex of American pop music.  Reggaeton is a popular music genre that originated in Puerto Rico in the late 1990s. It combines elements of reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, and Latin American styles such as salsa and merengue. Reggaeton is known for its infectious beats, catchy melodies, and energetic lyrics. The genre gained international popularity in the early 2000s and has since become a dominant force in the Latin music scene. Reggaeton often features a combination of Spanish and English lyrics, making it accessible to a diverse audience. Reggaeton's rhythmic foundation is built upon a dembow beat, characterized by a steady kick drum pattern and syncopated snare and hi-hat rhythms. This repetitive beat forms the backbone of the genre, providing a groovy and danceable vibe. Lyrically, reggaeton songs often revolve around themes of love, romance, partying, and street life. They can range from sensual and romantic to socially conscious and politically charged. Artists often express their experiences, emotions, and perspectives through the lyrics, creating a connection with their listeners. Reggaeton has produced numerous successful artists, including Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel, J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Ozuna, and many others. These artists have not only achieved commercial success but have also played a significant role in shaping the evolution of the genre. In recent years, reggaeton has continued to evolve and incorporate influences from other genres, such as trap, R&B, and pop. This fusion has expanded the genre's appeal and contributed to its ongoing global popularity. Overall, reggaeton is a vibrant and dynamic music genre that blends various musical styles and cultural influences. Its infectious rhythms, captivating melodies, and relatable lyrics have made it a favorite among music enthusiasts worldwide. ( Didn't copy and paste just wrote it on word to see how many words I had) Next im going to show you one of my favorite reggaeton song from one of my favorite artist. The song is "Ay Vamos" by J Balvin. J Balvin is a Colombian artist that is one of the pioneers of Reggaeton music and was the inventor of spanglish music. He has millions of followers all over the world but at first many people said he wouldn't succeed because of the type of music, but he kept pushing forward and became one of the top artist. "Ay Vamos" is one of my favorite songs ever because of its ability to put me in a good mood at all times. I can listen to it when I'm driving and trying to chill and I could also listen to it when I'm partying and am in a dancing mood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TapXs54Ah3E

The next artist I'm going to talk about is one of the most famous reggaeton artist and one of the most famous artist in the music world "Bad Bunny." Bad Bunny is a Puerto Rican Spanish singer that started singing in 2013. He has had hit album over and over and will continue to be one of the most famous artist of all time. He has a unique way of signing reggaeton that makes him so famous. A cool story about Bad Bunny that I have is when I went to Puerto Rico on vacation this spring. It was cool to see his influence on the island and how he was the most famous person and his music was playing everywhere. My favorite Bad Bunny album is probably "YHLQMDLG" and my favorite songs from the album are "Si Veo a Tu Mama," "Bichiyal," and ,"La Dificil."
