Music and Me

Right know I have started listening to a band that has been around for almost a decade but I have just started to get into them. The band is called "The Neighboorhood" and my favorite song by them right now is "Reflections." The song is really catchy and I just like it for no particular reason. I like it because I can listen to it any time of the day and it puts me in a good mood. I wished I discovered the band earlier because now they aren't together and won't be going on tour anymore.
A piece of music that is particular meaningful to me is "Remember the Name" by Fort Minor. This piece of music is connected to me playing soccer with my brother. The song helped create a special bond between us because we would listen to it before every game in the car while driving to the stadium. This song helped create a bond with my brother and it grew us a lot closer together. Now that my brother is still in high school and I'm playing in college we still listen to the song before every game.
For some reason I don't understand jazz music and never really was a fan of it. I don't like music that is soft like that and never really found it catchy. I can see how many people would enjoy this type of music but it is just not for me.
A music that I wanted to touch that wasn't in the first three categories is the artist Drake. Drake has all different types of music and he can make you sad and then hype in the same album.

  1. It’s so cool that you listen to music from a band that’s been around for over a decade. I’m actually familiar with that band and personally favor their well known song “Sweater Weather.” About 2 years ago, I went through a “phase where I would listen to them constantly, along with other artists that made similar sounding/vibey music.
